I don't remember everything, but I do remember it was a medieval/fantasy setting. I was one of three sisters and a brother who were competing for the throne and the kingdom that came with it. I didn't particularly care, neither did my brother, but my two sisters did. There was something that was supposed to fall from the sky and how it burned determined which of us got it.
But then multiple thingies fell. And they all burned differently. And I think I was supposed to get it, but I didn't want it so I passed it on to my brother, who [again, didn't particularly want it, but] accepted it.
And then something about training elephants... I guess maybe I ran off and ended up in a zoo type place where I had to help train elephants.
I wish I could remember it better. It was very bizarre.

Hair Museum, Cults, and Ron Perlman
So I know I just said that I haven't been dreaming lately, but last night I was really tired so I actually went to sleep. And I had a really creepy dream/nightmare that still freaked me out even after I woke up.
My best friend, Colleen, and I were with some people on a trip to a hair museum. It had exhibits about hair styles and uses and whatnot. I lost track of Colleen so I went in thinking she must have started the tour/walk through already. I couldn't find her and kept doubling back, and when I did a security guard would yell at me that you're only allowed to walk in one direction, as to get through the museum so others can enjoy.
She was a bitch but I did because I kept not finding Colleen. Then when I went through I found her. She thought that she lost me, and I said that she lost her. We had a laugh for a moment, then joined the rest of our group again to head out. Before leaving the museum offered you to sign your name and the time you are leaving. I did, Colleen didn't.
Then some time skipped and I woke up in my apartment (I don't live in one, but in my dream I did). I don't remember how I got there, but I figure I must have just gotten tired and fell asleep. Then my back started hurting. A lot. Like, A LOT. I had Colleen look at it and she said, "Whoa! When the hell did you get a tattoo and why didn't you take me with you?" I responded, "Tattoo? I don't have a tattoo." "Yes you do," Colleen said, and grabbed a small mirror so I could see.
It was a huge tattoo, right at the top of my back in between my shoulder blades. It was all black ink and celtic/tribal looking. That's when I started freaking out. I had a tattoo with NO recollection of how I got it.
We decided to job my memory to retrace our steps. We went back to the hair museum. It had been a few days, and I guess it was the weekend or something because the museum was closed. We broke in anyway and started looking around. I don't know what we thought we would find, but we ended up looking in some office and through some files on a computer. That's when we found out that it wasn't just a museum, but a cult home base. The bitch security guard then found us snooping around. We ran off and she chased us, but we bumped into some people. They were part of the cult. Colleen ran into an older woman with graying blond hair and I ran into a large guy who looked a lot like Ron Perlman (the actor who played Hellboy. Look it up). He had a light blue shirt with a dark blue grid pattern on it, jeans, and tan work boots (I don't know why I remember what he was wearing....). They told us we needed to join them and brought us over to a round table that was set up in the entrance area of the museum.
They told us that we had to sign up to be part of their group. The choices were like classes, science, art, math, etc, all things that benefited their group. The only thing was that we had to roll dice to choose which we got. I guess the numbers on the dice, when added up, corresponded to a list they had. Colleen rolled and was hoping for science. When they asked me to I refused and told them to just put me wherever Colleen went. That's when things got really weird.
Ron Perlman (well, not really him, but he looked like him. I'm going to call him Ron anyway) grabbed my arm and took me off to the side. He told me that I needed to pick something because it was very important that I join them. I had a key roll to play, apparently. I was being defiant and told him he was crazy and that I wouldn't. That's when he said something like, "I knew I should have just killed you." I was really creeped out and asked what he was talking about. He wouldn't at first but I kept pushing so he then told me that he was just supposed to grab me (after knocking me out with something), brand me (which explained the tattoo) then sacrifice me and drop the body somewhere. But he couldn't because he thought I was really pretty.
So he raped me while I was knocked out instead.
Yeah, real nice.
WHAT THE HELL?! So he said that if I just did what they said then I would be fine, and he brought me back over to the table. The older woman (who seemed to be the leader) asked what was wrong. He told her that he convinced me and that everything was all right. Then I had to pick my classes. I refused and that's when they brought my parents in. Apparently they had convinced them that I was signing up for an internship at the museum. My mom was happy. I was really pissed off (obviously) and was saying really sarcastic remarks about everything that I did, that anyone else did, and just about everything over all.
Then my mom apologized to the people, saying I was just being mean and rude because I was hormonal from not having my period yet this month.
That's when I snapped at her for saying something really, REALLY personal. And then I thought about it. I had been late. I still was. Or rather, I didn't at all. I asked when we last visited the museum and saw it was 2 weeks prior to whatever day it was. And then it hit me, I was pregnant with a crazy man's kid. And that's the only reason he was being vaguely "nice" to me. So I started bickering with Ron in off-hand remarks. He seemed to get what was going on, and was saying sarcastic/biting remarks back. Basically we were snapping at each other under our breaths, back and forth the whole time. The leader was getting angry that I wouldn't finish signing up for stuff, so I did. That's when they said we were going to have our orientation.
Colleen asked that it be by the river. When they asked why, she replied that she just liked the water, so they agreed. When we got there, they were started saying some crazy chant from a book. Colleen then grabbed my wrist and yelled "JUMP!" and we jumped into the river (behind us). We swam upriver for a bit, and when we finally came up to the surface I asked, "WHAT THE HELL?! WE COULD HAVE DIED!"
She responded, "We were going to die anyway. I was playing along til we could escape. We can't stay in the water long though, because we will be taken over by the darkness if we do." I guess "the darkness" was part of whatever spell the cult was saying before we jumped.
We continued to swim upriver til we got to a spot next to a main road. I recognized where we were so we started walking back towards our apartment. Colleen said she had called her aunt to meet us there later anyway, just in case, so we would be safe.
When we finally got back to the apartment, her aunt was there. She helped dry us off, and that's when I started saying that we need to run away, because those people were going to chase us. I mentioned that all my clothes were in one spot since most of them were dirty anyway, but we needed to change. Colleen then started acting weird and said that we had plenty of time, and that we could stay for a while. I guess whatever evil thing the cult had summoned had started to affect her, and her aunt too. I was freaking out.
Then I woke up.
Feeling very scared about what the hell I had just dreamt about.

Update on Not Updating
So, I haven't been getting sleep when I should, and thus no dreams. If I go to bed too late (and subsequently sleep in late) then I don't dream because at that point it's me passing out and my brain just shutting down to rest, instead of me going to sleep and it having some backup energy to actually make some dreams.
So yeah, when I actually dream again then I'll resume posting. Blame school work til that happens.
